Serving Our Clients Since 1998
Employers in California must ensure that employees who work more than five hours take a 30-minute off-duty meal period. Employers in California must also authorize and permit employees who work more than three and one-half hours to take 10-minute off-duty rest breaks.
An employer that does not permit its employees to take off-duty rest breaks breaches its duty to authorize and permit such breaks.
At Salinas Law Group, we have litigated numerous individual and class action lawsuits regarding meal periods and rest breaks.
